Most photography magazines available to me are published in Great Britain. Which can be very frustrating since they give advice like, “Why don’t you break out of your rut and photograph a castle this weekend?” Indeed, why don’t I?
So I made a switch to portrait photography. While a castle in the background would be nice, what’s more important is the subject of the photo. And suddenly yellow picnic tables in the outdoor break area of an underground office complex is exactly right. No castle needed.
