My husband and I spent a lovely day in Butte County. It was spoiled by only one thing— the reminder that no matter how far you go, no matter how isolated the place is, even if it’s a tiny cemetery in a tiny town in a large county (Cherokee Cemetery, Oroville, Butte County), you will see Covid Connies who believe in science when it’s convenient (like the internal combustion engine) but not when it’s inconvenient (like modern hygiene).

Always wear a mask. Covid Connies are everywhere.
