Mural, 10th Street

20120605-204043.jpgThis is a mural I see every day during my commute to work.  Currently, there are four female figures representing various religions.  It’s a work in progress so the artist may add more figures later.  On the reverse side of the building is a South American figure.  Sacramento has quite a few unexpected murals in the Midtown and Downtown areas.

Sundial, Capitol Park

The inscription reads, “The shadow creeps and creeps and is always looking over the shoulder of sunshine.” Yeah, sometimes our State Capitol can be a little creepy. Though not as creepy as the door panels illustrating the history of California and showing Native Californians welcoming the Spaniards and happily joining the missions.
